A Place for Us
During his older sister Hadia’s traditional wedding, Amar, the family rebel, reappears for the first time in three years. Born in California to migrant parents who are Indian and muslim, Hadia, Amar and Hudi grew up torn between old traditions and the American dream. But Amar never forgave his parents for preventing him from marrying the woman with whom he has been in love since he was a child. His homecoming will reawaken some heart-breaking memories and some concealed truths that will reveal to the siblings that their parents have ruled their lives more than they ever suspected.
